how do I get my e mail address off mailing lists that I signed up for ?

I spent all night one night tryin to make money online by filling out serveys resulting in my e mail address being added to apparently bajillions of mailing lists and now I dont even want to open my mail box due to it being blown up by junk mail …. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
