I need to add it to my geocities.com website to update people. Some sort of Newsletter-type service. It has to be a service where anyone can subscribe. (NOT like yahoo Groups, where ONLY yahoo members can join.)
*Update- Actually twins were just born in our family & they are 4 months preemie, and were looking for an easier way to update people & weren’t looking to force them to join yahoo just so they could get updates & don’t want to have to deal with selecting 75 addresses each time we wish to send an update.

you can join yahoogroups without being a member of yahoo!
and you should develop your own.
put a form on your website and have that from email you those who are interested
otherwise, what you are asking (you can’t purchase or obtain email addresses) is about how to spam.
