My 96-yr old mom received 11 charitable requests in today’s mail. She’s fed up. What to do to stop the mailings?

You can’t, the Republicans call it free speech. I call it harassment.

Is it possible to go to the local post master in her zip code area and request the “junk mail” to be blocked at the post office level?? I don`t know of any other agency that handles mail other than the post office. She could possibly “go on line” and see if each charity has a website and ask to be removed from their mailing list. I, personally, use the junk mail to start the fireplace up instead of buying “fire-starters”. That way I make use of something that normally “goes in the trash bin”.

Go on the internet and bring up the following. There will be an “opt out” section for junk mail:

Move

The US postal service will deliver everything they are given except the things you want or need.
