how do you put the option to subscribe to other channels when you just subscribed to a person on youtube?

on some channels, when you click the subscribe button, it asks you if you want to subscribe to; and a list of accounts follow. when you click “edit channel” it doesn’t give you the option to add this. how do you do it?
