How to remove someone completely from the Gmail list?

I had a person who was in my Gmail list and contact book. Now, I do not want to keep any contact with this person. I do not want that even my bulk email(which i send to many people) should go to him, even by default. If I just block him from the chat list , will that person able to see my status–online or not?

Hello,

Yes, if you delete the friend from your contact list they will not be able to see your online status.
