I played a joke on a friend by putting his information on mailing lists so he gets spam in his email. He understands the joke but his mom doesnt and declares it a dsecurity risk for them. Was my actions illegal and can I be prosecuted for it? Because his mom is thinking on trying to do that to me
I put him on emailing lists.
I put him on emailing lists. Put his name and address too >>
I already told him im sorry and such. I even said I would help in any way I could to help stop it but he said he did them
Anyone know the legal stuff so I can know for sure?

I don’t know, but it’s fun. I did it to my first husband’s new wife. She is 10 years older than me and oh so vain so I sent her brochures from Miracle ear, medical supplies for the elderly, facts about social security and a free trial of depends undergarments. I felt great.

yes because it’s giving false information. It is illegal to do that on the Internet. i don’t know how severe prosecution is though.

Pack your bag Sport, you’re going away for a long time for this crime. Okay, just kidding but what you did was wrong and to right your negative karma you must make this right. You can start by contacting the company with the mailing list to see if you can remove your friend’s email.
