Sophielake this is a premium holistic kibble, it does not include fragmented grains or glutens, it may not be a well known brand but according the ingredient list should not have been affected.

And if a food that has all whole grains is affected, then we DO have to worry

what it says about cross contamination does not make sense
Even if it was a matter of not making a complete cleaning of equipment from one brand change to another, there should not be enough glutens leftover from one food batch to affect a whole new batch at a concentration high enough to produce toxic effects.

So the big question is what is the source of the melamine this time if no ingredient tampering occured ?

All the ingredients in the LiveSmart Adult Lamb and Brown Rice is sourced from the US with the exception of the lamb which is imported from New Zealand(according to Smartpack'w website)

Is it the New Zealand Lamb ? If it is, there could be big problems
with many of the premium foods as well, the USDA would had has no reason to be testing all meats for Melamine, so even the human grade lamb could possibly contain

It is a scary thought and I sure hope it is not the case
